To let go isn't to forget, not to think about or to ignore. Letting go isn't about winning or losing, not about pride and how you appear. It's not obsessing and dwelling on the past. Letting go isn't blocking memories or thinking sad thoughts and doesn't leave emptiness, hurt or sadness. It's not about giving in or giving up, not about loss or defeat. I've always believed letting go is to cherish the memories, to overcome and to move on. It is having an open mind confidence in the future and with this, you learn, experience and grow. You start being thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, cry and grow. It's about all that you had and all that you will soon gain. Letting go is having the courage to accept change and the strength to keep moving. Letting go is growing up.
I realized the heart can sometimes be the most potent remedy. And to let go, it is to open a door, to clear a path and to set yourself free from the torments you have been going through. When you hold on too much and want something so much, you might not end up having it and it is truly semi perversed that most of us, we want something that we have to fight for, something that's difficult to reach.
